Recurrent Miscarriage Testing
Recurrent Miscarriage Testing
Most miscarriages occur due to an abnormally developing foetus. Most of these will be due to genetic abnormalities that are specific to the pregnancy. These are chance miscarriages and most women who have been unfortunate to have a miscarriage will have a successful delivery in time.
Some miscarriages are due to genetic problems in either the man or woman, womb abnormalities or blood composition problems. It is important that these are investigated and where confirmed, treated in order to minimise the risk of recurring.
